Success Stories
Real stories from real families. Hear from graduates, parents, and staff about the transformations they've witnessed at Eagle Ranch Academy.
Two days ago I got accepted into business school at the University of Minnesota! They only take 150 people a year, so I am freaking out that I got in!
Part of the process of applying is writing an essay on something that changed your life, and I wrote it about attending ERA and working at ERA—and I think they really liked that! I had been taking prerequisites for the past year (Calculus, Business Statistics, Financial Accounting) and it all paid off.
Student & Parent Testimonials
Authentic voices from those who've experienced the ERA journey firsthand.
"I came to Eagle Ranch Academy as a person who hated herself, hated life, and couldn't find hope or genuine reason to smile. I felt alone wherever I went and didn't want to live anymore. About 3 or 4 months into my stay, I started wanting to live."
"I came to ERA with a plethora of issues, all of which I refused to acknowledge. I was angry at the world. My Therapist described me as being at 211°—close to boiling point—at all times. I'm leaving with the ability to let those small things stay small."
"My daughter was there and it saved her life. She is now attending college and being successful with a bright future. Before ERA she was headed down the path of self-destruction. This program saves lives."
"I have learned through the program that both the parent and the child have to put in the work to see change. Jordy has become more self-aware of her feelings and learned how to better express them."
"I was battling screen addiction and was always angry and yelling at my parents. I now have the motivation to engage in other activities, and I have the skills to make new friends."
"I learned to express my feelings to my parents. I worked through the anxiety, panic attacks and depression I was experiencing. I became more honest with myself and my parents."
Why We Do This Work
Our staff are passionate about helping families heal.
"What I love most about working at Eagle Ranch Academy is watching a teenager slowly come back to life. Many arrive guarded, hurt, angry, or shut down—and you can almost see the weight they're carrying. But as they feel safe, supported, and valued, you begin to see their confidence return. Their eyes brighten, their posture changes, and they start choosing healthier ways to cope. That transformation is something I never get tired of witnessing."
"Parents often come to us scared, discouraged, and unsure what else to do. One of the greatest joys of my work is helping families feel hope again. We focus heavily on healing relationships, rebuilding trust, and teaching communication skills that truly last. When a parent tells me they finally heard their child express something real, vulnerable, or responsible for the first time in years—those moments remind me why this work matters so deeply."
Where Our Graduates Go
ERA alumni have gone on to attend universities and colleges across the country.
From a Former Student
My life is a prism, stretching, bending, reflecting, interesting from every angle. Each day dawns with memories of yesterday's experiences and promises of today's adventures. At ERA I regained my footing, raised my head and looked with confidence toward the future. I am, today, a man of integrity, bound for achievement.
